Mission scripture

"Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever." Alma 26:12

Work, Work, Work! It pays off :)

Hey y'all!

So I have come to the full conclusion that I am so blessed! :) It makes me happy to know that God is watching over my family while I'm gone. Why are all these things happening? Questions upon questions. But I appreciate the promise that God gives us in D&C 82:10 that He is bound when we do what he says, that when we do what he asks of us, the blessings He has promised to us will be given. I love my family! :)

I also love the surprises we get when we work hard. This week I got an unexpected surprise from Emily Hunsberger, one of my baptisms that happened last year. She found out my number and told me that she's going through the temple August 13th! Words cannot even express how excited I am for her!!!!!!! This is one of the greatest excitements in the world! I can't even say, its just so great! And what adds even more greater joy is that Sister Taylor the 1st, and Sister Ewing will both be leaving the week after and we will all be able to go through with her. This is pure joy right here! I AM SO EXCITED FOR HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
It doesn't stop there, she surprised me and came to church here in Decatur. WHAT??? Yes she did!!!! I thought I was gona cry!!!! I miss her AND all of my converts!

I think I'm pretty blessed to see her go through :) Best Week Ever!!

So! We had a fun week! For pday last week we played catch with a softball and a football....with two old men #decaturlife It was really fun actually! Charlie was a bit tipsy again...sister Taylor was throwing the ball with him, and my goodness! Charlie kept missing and having to run for it! It was good for him, he needed to sweat the alcohol out of him :p Tom is gratefully not a drinker at all so that was good for me! :)

Charlie keeps slipping though! We cleaned out his house full of alcohol...always in the fridge and tons of boxes everywhere! Its gone now! >:) We had a pioneer day party for the ward, which was fun, but no one was fellowshipping Charlie. MAKES ME ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!! We finally had to start telling people and shifting to get them to talk to him. Wow! Who knew we had to do that! NO! Note to yall: If you see someone with the missionaries, that's a hint to go talk to them and fellowship!
So we have to work on that before he can get near at all to baptism. He needs lots of fellowship!

We also went to dinner with Charlie and Tom...I felt like it was an old man date... aka-awkward!!! Charlie was so funny though, when the waitress asked what we wanted to drink Charlie looked at us and was like "can I have coke?" hahaha "yes Charlie!" Poor thing, doesn't even know what he can have anymore...

ok so that was most of my week, we had more but I don't have anymore time. Have a great week!
Go read Preach My Gospel! And Go talk to some people!!!!

Sister Tilton :)

Charlie, Tom, and us lookin like pros....
Sister Taylor beasting it out there catchin' that ball ;)
what?? this isn't Arizona?? It was lying...
So apparently when we had elders live here they use to jump this gate going to church so I decided to try it out...skirts are not the way to go when doing so...
At zone conference! Oh don't worry, we had to wash our truck...took two times going through the car wash to get it clean!!!!!!!! But this is my favorite senior couple ever that are going home this transfer, Elder and Sister Winters! They are the absolute best!!! I and Sister Edwards are known as their 'trouble children' since our car was always in the shop. Im gona miss them so much!!!!!
Back track to last year: I have an almost exact photo with my trainer Sister Taylor at this spot at the Denton Stake Center...I miss it so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At the Pioneer day party with the ward...face painting time!! :)
Sister Taylor and I had to make sure we still looked like missionaries...hence, CTR ;)
Sister Taylor rockin' them capris and boots for service... #chiggersgoaway
Hey look? That's some cheap gas and diesel... :p too bad the sign wasn't hung up!
