So this has been a hard weekend with the news of my dear sweet Kizzy. My dear sweet companion was nice enough to find D&C 77 for me that states that I will see Kizzy again. I love my baby but have felt your prayers and Heavenly Father has helped me. Thank you.
This week, the work has finally beginning to pay off. First though with the weird things to get your smiles on. We taught this guy that we always pass on the street at the institute building. Sister Taylor, for some reason, thought he was good looking..yuck. But since this lesson with him, her thoughts seemed to change otherwise. Glad to know! You know those kinds of people who believe in weird things and think weird things? Welllll...Michael is the definition of weird! Literally! So he told us that as we were speaking, our voices were just as important as the sound of the computer....ummm whaaa?! He also told us how once he was walking home at like 4 in the morning by himself and he said angel and he saw a white streak in the sky. We dont know what to conclude about this guy but what IVE concluded that he was on something...cuz he was legitimately weird! I like to make fun of my comp now cuz she thought he was cute haha speaking of my comp, so we were at zone conference and they did a scripture chase/dodgeball game and decided to play with a volleyball....BAD IDEA! Poor sister Taylor got smacked in the face with it and you could LITERALLY trace the ball on her face with the marks. Due to my amazing genes in the family, I was dying laughing the whole time!! I felt terrible. But really, it was so funny!!
So going on to the work, we taught one of our investigators while he was completely high...it was very interesting. He was VERY open minded, let us know everything he was thinking...But his roommate, Mason, which we are also teaching, was listening. We invited both to be baptized, Andrew...no comment on him...but Mason we think will be soon. He just doesnt want to give it up. Both have gone a long way. When we first met them we thought of dropping them but they started to come to activities and we've become great friends with them, taught them W.O.W. and Law of Chastity(very awkk) but they are trying. :) Mason does go to church with us and bought some church clothes too. YAY! :D Our other investigator, Robert, called his fellowshipper and asked where to buy church clothes as well. :) And we set a baptismal date with him for August 3rd. He's golden, we hope it works!! :) Kristen, has finally committed to baptism for Oct 10th, her 21st birthday...soooo far away!! But she told us that she shared the gospel with her mom. Ahhhh this is exciting stuff. Right. Here. And last, but not least, Lio!! So Lio has been taught by the elders in our ward - we have the zone leaders and us in the YSA - and he has not been progressing so they gave him to us. He's...a sensitive kind of guy...so we could work with it. We set a date with him forAugust 3rd but weren't sure he'd do it. Buttttttt he got his answer!!!!! He had this awesome experience and called us and we changed his date to July 27th. We are soooo excited for him!!! :) I have been waiting to see the change and the truth come in to my investigators eyes, and I finally got to see that. Best feeling ever to know that they know the truth. It's amazing what the Lord can do. I just wish everyone would get that confirmation. Yay! :)
So guess what?? I have two elders in my zone that are from Arizona!! Josh Anderson, who I knew was alive in High School, never talked to him, and Tanner Barnette, he's from Chandler. Both super awesome and guess what? THEY'RE BOTH SPANISH SPEAKING!!! I told everyone that everyone from Arizona but ME is spanish speaking here!!!! Makes me sad...but at least I have some zonie friends :) Miss Arizona...I saw cactus and just had to take a picture with those ugly things...represent! I REALLYYY miss the mountains too. It's funny cuz people say they're going hiking....and they hike up a hill -_- poor things! It's been raining the past couple days and I've loved it. All is good, thanks again for the prayers, and love you guys!
