Mission scripture

"Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever." Alma 26:12

Greatest week evaaa :)

Oh hey!

So. This week was SUCH A BLAST! I loved being on my mission for Christmas!!! Weird right? Well....I have done two things that I probably will never do again. Spend Christmas Eve with a mexican family. And spend Christmas with a black family!!! IT WAS SO FUN!!!!! I love black people!!! :') I dont think I've ever laughed so much before, they are just too fun! Of course my family's great...but some blacks would be great in it too...this is why im adopting one ;) haha jk...but seriously.

So for Christmas we had a district meeting which was so fun! And we also did a gift exchange with the missionaries which we had fun with. The elders did a christmas rap and I video'd it so your gona have to wait for me to see it. It made me miss my rap mom and dad ;) haha jk, kinda.. but we had a supppa fun night! We went to a couple less actives and taught a couple lessons, we kept on getting pie and food and 'getting fat' dad ;) i wanted to go balemic! haha i was sooo full!! It felt like another thanksgiving! I missed my crepes though!!

So funny moment. We went to visit some less actives one night and we had a member come with us and we were leaving the house and there was a truck that has gone through some 'hard times,' totally beat up and Gwen, the member, accidentally hit it (herself) and she she started slow running and said 'sorry coppers, cant catch me!' and immediately tripped on a speed bump and totallllllllyyyyyyy biffed it! It was SOOOOO funny!!!! Then we realized that there was someone in the car just watching. Ohh man. I almost died! Ya, that was random! i know  :p

So we've been meeting a lot with our investigator Jordan. Let me tell ya! Ok so i dont remember if I explained this last time but he use to be in a gang, was in jail, and now on parole, you look at him and can tell he was a scary dude. He is now bff's with this total white nerdy kid in the ward! Its soo funny to see them together! We stopped at Walmart one day for a bathroom break and they were shopping together! Whaaa?? It was a funny sight that's fo sho! But they have had similar pasts, which is kinda weird too! But he's been progressing soo much! He has stopped smoking and really turning his life around. But super sad for him cuz we have to go to the first presidency to get permission for him to be baptized and it takes a long time. But he's putting in the effort to wait!

Yesterday we actually were meeting with them when this less active, Billy Vincent, who we've been trying forevverrrr to meet (sister Edwards has been trying to get ahold of him for over 6 months) just comes over to the house we were at. What? yep. The spanish elders actually live right next to him and has been keeping tabs on him for us since we can never get ahold of him but ya. It's so sad! So Billy, Anthony and Marcus (who are both active now) had such a bad past, got into drugs and all that nasty crap, and Billy is the only one still doing it. It was so sad to see the difference...here this kid is my age and totally messed up. WHY DO PEOPLE DO DRUGS???! Idiots! When he left we started getting back into our lesson he interrupted and they stopped us telling us the spirit was gone. Haha even they could feel it. Im glad they see and feel when the Spirit's there and when its not. They are doing great! :)

I seriously love working in this area. It's definitely hard...but so worth it and I love all the people!! Make's me never wana leave!!!

Well I hope you all had a great Christmas and a suppa fun New Years! Im definitely not staying up till midnight. I like my sleep ;p

Have a good week! :)

Christmas is here! :)

So first off....my little nephew is now 12...how old do i feel??! Caleb needs to stop growing!!!

So hi guys! :)

Christmas is here...it definitely doesnt feel like it thats fo sho! But its so fun being out on Christmas. You'd think we'd have a pretty slow christmas but everyone wants to meet with us on that day... dude if i was at home i'd tell the missionaries to leave me alone on Christmas. Haha jk. I wouldnt now...but its awesome! We have a full busy schedule. We have a district meeting that day and im afraid i wont have any time to call home this Christmas. Sorry.. haha jk I will be calling 1pm your time, 2pm my time. SO YOU BEST BE ALL THERE!!!! and I think i'll call moms phone...or dads..? probably moms so make sure to pick up! This is weird man...

first thing, im feeling much better this week! President Ames called me, i got scared at first - mission presidents dont call just for fun - but he was checking up on me since someone called him ;) mom... haha but its been good. Im just about normal!

So a few funny things happened this week. First off, ya never know whats going to happen in the YSA wards... Those awkward moments when your a sister missionary but are mistaken as someone's fiance...yup! That happened. It was SOOO funny!!! Actually really awkward. This guy Stephen came up and put his arm around me and started rubbing my shoulder...when I looked at him he realized realllllll quick. He tried covering up asking how I was doing but...nope, didnt work. haha perks of being in YSA! Sister Edwards and I couldnt stop laughing!

This week went by sooooooooooooooooooooo slow!!! No one's here anymore!! Everyone's gone. What the heck? But suprisingly, we were able to get ahold of a lot of our less actives. So this is exciting news! One of the less actives we've been working with, Anthony, is now fully active and its great!! It's so nice knowing that he's active now! Its so amazing though cuz now we are witnessing true conversion with him. All he does now is give us his friends and people that he wants to help get back active and in the church. What a sight! It's so awesome!

Jarrett, one of the less actives, is trying so hard to quit his smoking. He is doing great! He stopped but then gave in and bought another pack of cigarrettes. When we visited him he gave us the rest of his pack. Yay! Except then we had to dispose of it...we felt so weird, well Sister Edwards cuz she was carrying a pack around everywhere haha. Some advise to take: when disposing of cigarrettes and putting them in a dumpster, do not try to break them apart when the wind blows...it goes in your face. Talk about grossness! I felt the need real quick to repent haha but seriously ;) its was gross! He's doing awesome!

We did have a fun Christmas Devotional with President Ames and watched a movie. woo hoo! But not the grinch :( I miss that movie! LARISSA! That's what were watching when we get home! And we also were able to see a lot of missionaries. I love missionaries :) they're the best! We got to open our letters too that they gave us. Thanks for them :)

We have a new investigator! His names Jordan and he's awesome! Well...the only thing is...he used to be in a gang and is now on parole but really wanting to be baptized. He came to church on his own which was pretty cool and then was referred to us. He came to the YSA ward sunday and....he even wanted to go do baptisms for the dead. Haha slow down there buddy....it was hard telling him he wasnt allowed :p But we're working on him but its going to take a long process since we have to get the first presidency's permission. But he'll get there! :)

Well....I'll talk to you in 2 days! Merry Christmas for those I wont talk to...
Have fun!

Christmas is almost here!!

Wow... it doesnt feel like Christmas is next week... ca-ray-Z!
Happy Birthday mommy!! :)
So thiss week...hmm... not much has gone on! We did get the Christmas tree you sent us and we loveeee it! But we didnt get it till Saturday so we've only had a couple days to enjoy it so far. Sister Edwards mom is sending us stockings too...which idk what were gona put in them :p we'll just wear them I guess ;) jk.
Ok although were like 1000 miles apart, I still feel like I'm getting the same things you are (family). This week...well and last week, I've had the worst headache/migrane in the whole world! My neck is out of place...i just know it! But no one believes me! I've been trying to get a Chiropracter (have no clue how to spell) to go to but they keep saying Im just sick and its the cause of an injury from me falling on the ice...which i didnt get hurt when i did...hahaha but they have given me prescriptions upon prescriptions. I just need my stupid neck popped!! Sister Edwards and I thought of an idea though, mom you should just fly here and not talk to me and just pop my neck really quick :p haha good idea? I thought so! I dont think i've ever had so many prescriptions before in my life...i feel like a pill poppin' missionary. The life of Sister Tilton guy!
One funny fact that i thought yall would enjoy (yes i said it..its faster :p) So on Sunday we were in Gospel Principals and we have a senior couple in our ward, Elder and Sister Winters, who are the cutest old couple may I add, and all of the sudden we hear a phone go off and its this hardcore rap song. One of the guys in there was like 'dude I thought that was sister Winters phone at first' and then we realize that she's struggling with her phone...it was hers. Hahaha! It was SOOO funny! Poor thing, she was so embarrassed but she had no clue how it got on there and she had no clue how to shut it off. Welp, there went the spirit! It was a day of remembrance, thats fo sho!
So...Madeline got baptized this week! It was amazing!! Although we werent able to go since she was baptized in Austin.. it was very weird not being able to prep for it and plan it, it was very stress free thats for sure but we kept contact with her when she went home. On wednesday, when she did get home, she told us that her parents decided to not support her in going to her baptism like they said they would and they even forbid her siblings to go. It was so sad :/ but she didnt let it get her down, she was still super excited. She told us that the baptism was fantastic and her confirmation blessing was amazing!! It was so cool! :) Wish we could've gone but glad she was able to experience this. Her and Marissa, our other recent convert are both gone for the holidays so we wont see them. Marissa's parents will not let her go to church up there so she cant wait to come back. It's just so cool! Who would've thought you'd miss church?! Its awesome!
We have a new girl were teaching and were not sure if we should call her an investigator cuz she was baptized 2 years ago, in Denton actually, and I have even heard about her when I was in Denton but she got baptized and kinda got cocky, is what she explained it as, and told her parents without praying about it and they flipped out and her dad went on the internet and printed out ever single anti mormon thing there is and made her read it and forced her to remove her records from the church. How sad! She had to do it though because she was dependant on them. Now, after two years, she has really felt the need to come back and she did it completely on her own and requested missionaries. Definitely a testimony builder. Its sad to see people fall away from the gospel or leave it but you never know when they're gona come back and how much stronger they will be. She is SOLID! She's the sweetest thing ever!
Seriously though, the Lord is so great! Every person we are teaching, the solid ones, has just fallen into our hands. God knows what he's doing :)
This transfer we are going to be working on the members. So this applys to all you! :) The visiting/home teaching is like 5%..its sad! And half of them are less actives to be taught. This week we had 4 less actives come to church. If we all reach out, not just missionaries, to members active and not active, the more the gospels going to work wonders. God cant do this work without us. Do your visiting teaching and home teaching! Go talk to your friends! Do missionary work!!! :)
So you should send me your christmas cards!
Merry Christmas,
Sister Tilton :)
pics: most of the missionaries in Arlington...theres 42 total and this was p-day
Grandon Ray was in my area :) but he left to Killeen? i think..

Texas shouldnt be cold...

DUDE ITS ALMOST CHRISTMAS!!!!

Happy Birthday to Kizzy yesterday, she wouldve been 11...I sang her happy birthday though :) I miss my baby!

But really, its so close!! Sooooooo much has gone on this week...you dont even know!

So first off, funny story, Sister Edwards mom sent her boots this week and she was soooo excited cuz its so not fun to wear flats in the cold...and her mom sent her two different types of boots...it was SOO funny!!! She was so mad haha but now we just laugh!  And speaking of which, this transfer we are both staying together AGAIN!! imma have 4 1/2 months with this girll...im gona go crazyy!! Haha jk! I love my companion!

So this week we won companionship of the week..in our zone...cuz we had 2 investigators at church...sometimes I just look at that and think thats it??? But hey, its gona be more someday! This area just needs more mormons...I tell ya! Its weird though seeing one ward boundary here is literally 2 stakes at home...ah! I love Gilbert :) But its getting better here!! :)

Soooo...now it gets to the good stuff. IT SNOWED HERE!!! And not a little! But it covered the whole ground, all white! It was soooo pretty!!!! But what sucked was that it turned into ice after AND they shut down the whole city...more like Texas! They said its the worst theyve had in awhile. And im wearing a darn skirt in it!!! So we werent allowed to drive...and we dont live in our area...so it was pretty terrible! It was soooo cold! A lady felt so bad for me not having gloves that she gave me her mittens...hey I had socks on my hands ;) But we walked everyyywhere cuz us missionaries dont get days off! But it was fun!

So we had an appointment with this less active that lived 3 miles away so we walked alll the way there and she didnt answer... >:/ so we walked to the institute cuz we were faareeeezing!!! So get this, we saw this truck drive by (barely any one driving btw) and they turn around and drive by again, then turn around and drive by again except this time they stop. This little 3 seater truck with 3 guys in it stop and are like 'why arent you driving?' uhh...duh! We told them we cant and then they tell us to get in.........now say what? Confused, do you want us to sit on yalls laps or somethin? or get it the bed of the truck? Heck no! So we tell them no thanks! It was soo funny! Ya they thought! So we ended up walking straight up 6 miles on ice...the whole way! We were sooooo cold but were bundled up. These rain boots are in no way cute but man I was glad to have them!! I stayed warm :) We looked like ninjas with our scarfs around us and jackets...with skirts! I wonder what people thought! Those Mormons....

We fell about a million times and then one time, we were walking by a main road and i just biffed it and pretty much killed my butt! This car stopped and asked if I was ok, then drove away! What?? your not even gona offer us a ride? lamos!

Something I noticed though, the world is becoming less Christlike. Its so sad! So this poor woman was trying to get out of our apartment complex with her car, going up a slope...on ice! She was out there for probably 20 minutes so when we were going out for the night we went to go help her out. Sitting there was this guy in his huge truck just waiting for her to get out of his way...so when he saw us start pushing the car he got out to help..pushed for 5 seconds then got back in his truck to wait. So here we are pushing this car in skirts and this man is just watching? my goodness...

They cancelled church on sunday and this big arlington town christmas party was cancelled too! We were so bummed! But we went out and helped this other church shovel off the ice from the sidewalks...then we went to their church instead. lol jk! Then we helped this cute old man with his driveway and after we were done he told us he was embarrassed that we did this and in skirts. Haha he was the cutest old man! And his wife gave us some fudge after, I just love service!! Its always so worth it!

So this week was a scare! Madeline told us that her parents talked to her and she decided to wait a couple years to get baptized. It shocked us!! But one thing I am soo grateful for is our Heavenly Father answering prayers. One thing she forgot was that she received an answer about being baptized on the 14th. We gave her some time to pray about it and we prayed and fasted soooo hard for her!!! And she decided to go with the 14th! Yay!! we are sooo excited!!! Our less active, Kenzie is progressing really well too! She is getting her family to start coming back as well and getting them to do family prayer and alll. Its amazing how much one person can change a family.

Texas is cold. But I'm lovin' every bit of it!

Tanya. I figured this out....you can save this christmas and next christmas and give me a niceeeeeeee longgggggg massage when I get back!!!! :) I've decided this already. I'm in desperate need for one haha! Thanks, your awesome ;)

Stay warm in Arizona!! ;)

Sister Tilton :)

this is why we get weird looks...

Sorry for all the pics! This is Kenzie! :)

ITS DECEMBER!

Where has the time gone?? Its already December?? What the freak?! Cray cray!

So Thanksgiving was so fatning. I mean fantastic! ;p we had two meals and oh my gosh...one is good enough for me!!! I felt like I wanted to go balemic for a sec...thats how full i was :p I'm such an idiot, I filled my plate full both times to the max! My comp laughed at me lol i was so mad at myself but had to eat it. It was veryyyy weird not being with the family thats for sure! Both places I walked in.... Where are the kids?? It was like silent...man I am looking forward to next thanksgiving thats for sure! Never thought I would but I miss hearing my loud obnoxious 12 nieces and nephews...including Jasmine ;) haha jk! But it was cool getting to experince the difference! I was definitely greatful for my family that day! :)

oh and by the way, Im glad we do our sweet potatoes normal. Marshmellowed/brown sugar'd...GROSS!

Oh and one of my friends from Denton, Beth, came to Arlington and took us out for dinner. I was sooo happy!! I've got friends that love me ;) thats who that is in the picture! Random, i know!

We had a good week this week though, considering EVERYONE'S gone to home for the holidays! YSA...gotta love it! We FINALLY got ahold of a less active on Thanksgiving and he told us that he wants to start coming back and his goal is to go on a mission, his names Anthony. We came back and had a lesson on the Restoration and he just cried! The Spirit was so strong, he completely felt it all! Seriously, experiences like these make every bit of this gosple worth it! There is absolutely no way we could do this work without our Heavenly Father. He does it all! Its awesome!

He also brought his friend to church on Sunday, Sebastian, and we taught him that night. It was sooo good! He has had a hard life and his parents are the worst example so now he's living with Anthony. We taught him the Plan of Salvation and he accepted it so well. He felt the spirit so strongly. I LOVE THE GOSPEL!!!

So this week I also got to drive. It was so weird! I miss it! Larissa, your gona freak when you get back in the car...no more buggies for you ;) haha maybe you can ride your llama's around...TINA ;)

Ohh!!! So this is terrible...your gona make so much fun of me but...I said y'all in a sentance and once it popped out Sister Edwards was like YOU SAID IT!!! Nooo.... :/ Texas is gettin' on me! Shoot! Speaking of which, we found a mansion. Its huge, Mom and Dad, come buy one ;) it can be our new cabin!!

One more thing on the Christmas list: I need gloves...its so cold!

And thanks for the TG package, we havent eaten it yet...were still fat from Thanksgiving day ;) but no worries, we'll get to it!

Have a goood week!

Sister Tilton :)

ps. thats the mansion!

Thanksgiving here we come! :)

Its already thanksgiving??? WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE???? Next, Christmas?? haha I think you guys are gona be so bored without me ;)

So this week has been reallllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy long!!!! Considering we only had a half p-day on monday cuz we went to the temple last week, it felt like forever! But what evvvs!

So...i spoke to soon about being better....I can walk though :) thats good right? But i've beeen wearing boots so my foots getting a wittle bad again. Ohhhh....can I just amputate it? I'd be so much more happier :) Ohh and my rain boots...I look like a man in them! Haha sooo attractive right!? ;) But its been nice having them considering its been rainy and Fa-REEZING here! Who knew Texas would be cold right??

So funny story! So we went to Chipotle for dinner one night and well first off, I didnt know that Utah doesnt have much blacks there...so Sister Edwards is always amazed how many blacks are here...and everywhere else besides Utah...but we were just eating and Sister Edwards leans over to me and whispers "we're the minority" and I look around and theyre all black people besides us and like 2 others. Its was soooooooooo funny!!! Haha perks of having a Utan for a comp...gotta love Sister Edwards! :)

This week alllll of our appointments fell through. So annoying!! But oh well! We did get Kenzie, a less active to come to church though and she told us that she quit her job at the bar. YUSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! We were sooooo excited!!!! She told us she didnt like cleaning up throw up and all that jazzz...uh no durr! Who wants to do that for a living?! Not me! So she will be coming to church every week from now on...hopefully! :)

Our investigator, Tyron, is not getting the whole 'one true church' thing... its really frustrating but we're trying! we keep going over the restoration and church and all that but its not seeming to click in his head! COME ON!! Madeline, our investigator thats getting baptized Dec 14th bore her testimony at church this week and it was sooo powerful!! She is amazing!! I just love her! :) and the gospel! Everyone needs it! Let's get'er done! ;)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! :) I'll be having fun getting fat and sharing the gospel at the same time. This. is. the. Life! ;)

Oh and an addition to the Christmas list, I need a mini hymn book...its much needed!

Love you all!

Sister Tilton! :)

Sista Tilton's better say what??

Heyyy guys! :)

First of all, Happy Birthday Rylan boo :) Gosh I cant believe he's 4...everyone needs to just stop growing up!!!

Secondly, Im doing wayyyy better now! Thanks for the prayers, I am now walking. Yay me!! But I must say that this was the most boringest week in the WORLD!!!! We literally sat on our beds the whole time..gotta hate doctors orders! But it was nice to catch up on my reading :) We were challenged to read the New Testiment by Christmas and I only have 12 more chapters. Im so happy!! ^.^ But we watched a lot of a church videos too, which was still way boring! It was so nice to finally get out and do some work! Oh and to add on that long boriing week, we had no car...so we LITERALLY stayed in all day and all night! Terrible! I did get better though and started walking a little with my super amazing compy Sister Edwards help! We had Zone Conference this week and even President Ames laughed at me haha greaaaatt...little gimpy Sister Tilton over here! What evvs!

We did get to meet with some less actives this week as well as our two investigators :) Madeline, who is getting baptized in Austin on Dec 14th (we wont be able to go cuz its not even in our mission :( ) but we met with her this week and got her started on Family History and she LOVESSSS it!!! She has already found some great great grandparents which is way cool! I cant wait to go home and do it too!! It's soo fun!! :)

And....you wont believe it but I got to go to the Dallas Temple this week. ITS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started thinking about how Larissa and I always went every week before...dude I miss it so much! The new video is amazing!! I wana go back!!!!!! Larissa we're gona have a BLAST when the gilbert temple is open! :) I love the temple so much!!

Fun fact..actually not. We came home one night to a HUGE cockaroach (idk how to spell, dont judge) right by my bed just chillin' there! I almost died!!! It was hugeeeeeee!!! I had to get rid of it too... >:/ yeah, thats it!

Hope you have a good week!! Love you all! Sister Tilton :)

What a week!

Okk...so this week was...hmm...where to begin??

First of all...Cara and Juleen I am not fat!!!! I want a new black skirt cuz its no longer a black...its grey! Gosh guys...have you no faith in my skinny self?? haha neither do i ;) jk!

Well...for starters... my foot. Since I'm a missionay and cant stay off my foot, it got infected...and im sure you all just wanted to know that ;) but now I officially cant walk on it! I couldnt take it any longer, I was in sooo much pain and we couldn't get ahold of anyone!!!! I got nasty antibiotics which dont help but im required to take...and I got pain meds that dont even freakin work! what the freak man?! And which was worse was that Sister Ames, presidents wife, never answers her phone which is frustrating...but oh well. Finally we had a senior couple come over and gave me a blessing and then went to the store and got me more epsom salt and a mcdonalds smoothie at 11:30pm. How nice is that? So we were up all night soaking my foot...and the bathroom is now my second home cuz my foots always in the bathtub. I've got a pic to prove haha Soooo Sister Edwards and I have been SUPER bored and have been reading scriptures, and watching church movies which is getting really boring! I feel like I have no butt anymore...

So its so fun, I know! You should try it! Not.

Ok so my spanish skills...so since we're over YSA, its over the whole stake so we call less actives in all the wards, spanish ward included. The parents, lots of them, dont even know english so when theyd answer i'd have to use my amazing spanish skills which are pretty much gone hahaha but im getting there ;) It's a fail..Larissa help me!!

One really awesome moment, so we have this less active that we're working with and he is sooo nice but soo hard to get ahold of. Well, a couple days ago he called us and told us he picked up his ciggarettes again. noooo...but it was awesome that he trusts us now to tell us and ask for help! He's getting there!!!! :D We're soo exciteed!!!

We had some less actives come to church which was super awesome cuz one who does nottttt like the church but is finally warming up to it finally came! Except we only went to take the sacrament cuz I was suppose to be in my bed so we didnt get to stay the whole time.

I literally cant walk! Today we did landry and Sister Edwards had to give me piggy back rides to and fro...if anyone saw...thats embarrassing haha please keep me in your prayers so I can get back on my feet (literally) and work!

Love you all!

Ohh...this week!

Hey guys! :)

Happy Birthday Dad! (on the 8th!)

Ive been out 6 months!! :D but who's counting...besides Dad ;)

Sooo..............my week was just amazing......I got surgery! Yepp...I said it right, I got SURGERY!!! Not terrible surgery but lemme tell ya...i hate it! So my stupid foot has problems...ingrown toenail! I am now a gimpy! I limp all day err day and Im not afraid to show it haha jk. I have no choice! I had surgery on thursday and immediately once I got in the car, we went on our way to do some amazing missionary work. yep. Life as a missionary! I couldnt put my foot in my shoe though...so that was a bit aka-awkward! I even got home and went to a lesson and had one flat on and a slipper on the other foot haha i'll never forget that! But now my foot is in worse conditions but I have an appointment with the doctor on wednesday so i'll find out what the hecks wrong with me. Ah! So fun!

Well...for Halloween I was Sister Edwards and Sister Edwards was me! Yep, we go way hard! We traded clothes and name tags. Supa fun! Although we stayed in for Halloween. It was manditory for us to be in. Who knew that a missionary would have a rule to be in by 6pm haha but we did our weekly planning then! Plus I was having a hard time walking so I didnt complain. Except it was really weird not being out working. Oh and this is amazing! So, one of the girls that always came out with us on exchanges in Denton was me for Halloween. Haha I feel so loved! She sent me a picture too...it was identical...except she's dark skinned and had dark hair. haha But hey, i think im popular now ;)

OH! Guess what? It was daylight savings time! My first time and I gotta say...having 9 hours of sleep is the greatest gift you could give to a missionary!!! :D I was soooo happy! It felt weird, I felt like I was breaking the rules but nope. It was greattt!! I am not looking forward to going back and losing an hour of sleep. Heck no!

So I forgot to tell ya, I think I had the nastiest thing. I dont think pork chops beat this..ehh it might be equal. But we had someone feed us and we had jelloed carrots. Grossest. Thing. Ever!!!!! I wouldnt reccomend trying it.

This week was great though, we had lots of fun! It was stake Conference this week and we had to be in the YSA chior cuz there wasnt enough and it was awkward cuz we had no clue how the song went haha and then one of our investigators came  up to me and said she could hear my voice...oh dear...thats embarrassing! We have a new investigator though, his names Tyron, and hes GOLDEN!!!! He has lots of soul-searching questions and we taught him the Plan of Salvation and he loveeddd it! I love the Plan of Salvation. The best lesson ever!!!! I wish everyone could just see the power this gospel brings...the world would be a better place..thats fo sho!

Well...hope yo's week is fantastic. Oh i just have to say. I have the cutest neice in the world. Well actually, we just have a dang good lookin family. Word. I love my family :)

Oh another thing for christmas list.
I need long sleeve shirts...if you can get me cute ones that I'd wear...my style preferably :p haha
and no show flatts socks!

Have a greatt week! Love ya's!

Another Transfer in Arlington! :)

Wassup yo! haha jk im not black...but I wish!

Hi guys! So I had a dream and I was saying y'all in it. Ah! Noooo haha Texas is getting me!!!

So we start a new transfer this week and Sister Edwards is staying with me!! So that probably, most likely means I'll be here for Halloween, thankgiving, (obvi's) and Christmas here! oh and new years! And in a YSA ward...this'll be interesting! But we've already got 3 people invite us to thanksgiving so I really hope we dont have 3 thanksgiving meals or else imma be one fat honka wonka sister missionary. Ehh...betta not (pitch perfect) haha watch me lose weight ;) that wont happen!

So for Halloween....I cant decide if I wana dress up like a missionary orrrrr dress like a missionary...decisions! But I found out that that's what Larissa is dressing up as...wow! Even across the country we still think alike. Whoa! Who wouldve thought ;)

This week has been really good! So we taught alot of less actives anddddd we got 2 new investigators!  yay!! The Lords showing the work!! :) We're excited! We also have been getting fed a little bit more, a girl in the ward is telling everyone to feed 'the poor sister missionaries' haha yeahh buddy!! But, realllllllyy funny! So this less active, Tyler, took us out to lunch and after eating a lott of food, I was super full but sister Edwards was still eating and I was like "how are you still eating???" And Tyler said "She's getting her fat kid on!" HAHA!!! Ohhhh sister Edwards is still affended haha it was soooooooooooooooooooooooo funny!!!! Tylers a keeper, thats fo sho! And we got called Gangsters this week too....wow thats different! Sister Missionaries? Gangsters? Awesome! Steppin up in the mission life ;) haha jk

Our new investigator Hannah is a referral from a less active Kenzie so now we're both teaching them! The only problem is that Hannah is a bartender....sooooo that puts a little damper in that! But that'll change, no worries! :) We also have another, Leo, and he's super solid!! It's awesome! Annndddddd our investigator Madeline is getting baptized...not sure when exaqctly but she wants to be baptized in Austin. Nooooo!! That's not even in our mission!!! So we wont even be there which is super sad but at least she'll be baptized. All that mattters!

Other than that, wow this is a short letter! But I promise it'll be longer next week! We've got some Halloween to talk about now :p I am LOVING this area, its finally picking up a tad! Yay! :) Have a good and blessed week, Love you all, keep sharing the gospel :)

Sister Tiltonss life long adventure :)

Heyyy Everyone!! :)

sooo...late Happy Birthday Bryson!!! And I missed his baptism???? My little nephew is growing up :( Im so sad I missed it..AND im gona miss Aarons?? But at least I'll be back for Troys :) Gosh my family is getting so old! Haha Briel is already a week old? crayyy cray! Oh so I had a nightmare this week....I got home from the mish and no one was at the airport for some odd reason...Brandon i felt your pain haha :p so I caught a ride home and everyone was there but just eating..the norm stuff..and Aaron was on the piano and I came up to hug him and he was so happy! (that was good) but all the rest of the kids, Kylee, Drew, Rylan, Hailey, Anna ,and of course Briel didnt know who I was. SADDEST/SCARIEST THING EVER!!!!! You best be showin them my face! haha! ;)

And Dad you asked for Christmas stuff already??? ITS COMING!!!! woww... well i've already thought of some things. And this is a typical missionary's dream Christmas list:
-a new mini quad scriptures...perferrably the one with a snap, kinda like what Cara has...the small kind
-Jesus the Christ
-tab chior CD with 'come thou fount' on it
andddddd I have something else im not remembering...i'll let you know when I remember :p

So this week was great!! We had Elder Pino, from the 70 come see us missionaries and it was awesome!!!! So he lived in Peru for about 4 years in Lima, AWESOME!! I told him I had family that is from there. He was shocked considering im the whitest persone ever haha but i corrected myself saying family friends ( i do consider you, Betty and Doris, family :) ) but the whole thing was in spanish!!! It wouldve been awesome if I understood them exactly but they did have translators. Elder Pino's wife doesnt know english, he does but wanted to talk in spanish and although I couldnt understand them, the spirit was soooooo strong!!! It's awesome! They say we all missionaries come out to learn a language that can be understood through any other language, and that's the spirit. It's an amazing thing!! I love the gospel!!! They talked a lot about making Christ's Doctrine OUR doctrine. I have actually never thought of it that way but its totally true!! We need to make sure and make the gospel ours. Its a life long thing, its a part, should be, of our lives. My challenge to you all is to make the Doctrine of Jesus Christ yours, learn it, share it, live it, love it! 2 Nephi 31 - great place to start and great to read! :) Its our life. And if it isnt, make it :)

Marissa got baptized this weekend, we are so excited for her!!! Our Heavenly Father is amazing, we have seen the change she has gone through and that is only because of our Savior. It was very spiritual and when she came out of the water, her face was priceless, you cant describe it! She felt it, it's real, and its amazing! Seeing these baptisms remind you how amazing the gospel is and theres nothing better! :)

Im grateful to be on a mission. Pray for the missionaries in the world and most importantly, for missionary opportunities for you! If you dont know who to share it with, go meet your neighbors! :) YOU GOT THIS!!

Have a good week, love you all!

Mish life fa Sista Tilton :)

Dudeeee!!! IM AN AUNTIE!! again... haha WHERES THE FREAKIN PHOTOS MAN??? And I got the pics in the mail...so cute! I love maternity photos! Cara remember when we were in Eureka and we were hiking in that wash thing where they filmed part of Jarassic park and there was that girl taking maternity pics there?? Hahaha so funny.! Why didnt you do that?! ;) Well give me the deets! When was Briel Calee born? :) Cute name too! Ahh!!

Anyways...so I have this theory that the world is going to end soon. I've been experimenting and my hypothesis is correct so far...the government is shut down and women are protesting to get the priesthood? Umm...are they idiots?! Yep. They are! What the freak man?! DO they actually think that by protesting God's gona be like hmmm..ok well if you insist.. NO! Ohh it gets me frustrated!! This world...lets just end shall we?! And not that you, mom and dad, want to hear this but the world ends, itd be nice to die on my mission so I know for a fact that I'll be good and in God's hands haha but dont worry...I'm not gona die! I've gotta see my baby niece ya know ;p so on to important stuff...

My mission president is awesome and is truely called of God. "Certainly we are able to find out who we are when “no one but God is looking.” " -pres. Ames. Mission life is hard and no one really understands what the hard is unless they went on a mission. But even though it may be hard, God's helping us every step of the way, he doesnt leave us alone. Trust. That's what I have learned the most on my mission. Whatever happens in life, if he trust in the Lord that whatever happens, we'll be blessed and receive help when He know's we need it. Not when we think we need it.

This week has been great! We found a lot less actives, that's what most our work is, and we have been teaching them lots :) They are all very nice and one in particular...hes very nice..and also a little feminine...and we have no clue how to handle this...but we love him and so does our Heavenly Father, no matter what! So were praying hard for some direction with him! We also found this guy that has records in the church but has no clue what mormonism is and doesnt even know that his parents were even affiliated let alone members. How sad is that?! So were actually teaching him :) He's our newest investigator so now we have 3!!! But by the end of this week we'll have two cuz MARISSA'S GETTIN BAPTIZED!!! :) We're so excited for her and she is sooooooo excited!!! It's awesome! I just love the change...it never gets boring. Mission forever! :)

So i've come to find out that I'm really going to be happy to get back with Arizona drivers or drivers/people that arent texans cuz sometimes I wonder if they have a brain! Yesterday we almost saw someone get ran over!! They decided to run across the intersection with coming traffic and literally this car...feel so bad for it...did everytthing in its power to stop and you couldnt even see the car cuz there was so much smoke from the brakes! We watched it all! Insane! That was the crazy part of the week! :p
We also did our first piece of service this week! Someones car died in the street so we pulled over and helped push it. Your never truly a women till you've pushed a car off the road with a skirt on ;) haha epic! Im sure people thought that was a sight to see...

We also got some fresh out of the oven homemade whole wheat bread that one of our less actives mom gave us. AH! It made me miss it! Remember when we always had homemade bread? I dont...its been so longgggg ago! Gluten fo dayyyzz ;) hehe sorry mom!

Well hope this week is fan-freakin-tastic! Love yousss! Peace!

Cara you better send me some pics in the mail so I dont have to wait a whole freakin week to see Briel!!!
