Mission scripture

"Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever." Alma 26:12

Last week in Keller :(

Happy Birthday Summer!!! :)

So sad news! Found out Im leaving Keller today!!! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
But I knew it was coming...I felt it! I am going to....dun dun dun...Decatur!

Guess what? It's in Denton Stake! I'm going back to sorta my first area....And this is probably my last area. SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's awful! :( And my new comp is Sister Taylor! No, not my mom Sister Taylor, I wish:( But I haven't met this new one...guess I will in 2 days! Crazy! My new address is:
1046 Cr 4360
Decatur TX, 76234

Yeah...that's a weird address...but I guess that's it! So write me! :)

Anyways, what a crazzzzyyyyyy week! Its been so great! :) First off, 3 baptisms! Whoo hoo! We're #4 in the mission...haven't beat my record yet...gona get there! But it was awesome! The baptisms were super spiritual and lots of people came, thank goodness! Always my worst fear.
Note to yall: if you hear about a baptism, go to it!!! They need all the support they can get! :)

So Mike and Mikayla Meford got baptized July 5th! Great turn out and so awesome! Debbie's inactive sister came to the baptism which was great! Debbie was like "oh no, the roof is about to collapse!" haha! Good for her though that she came...we hope she felt the spirit!

And then Jackie got baptized July 6th, right before church. And her parents and grandparents both came to both. What a neat experience for them! Her grandparents haven't gone to church in 50+ years because of bad experiences with Baptists....its a good thing we're not Baptist ;) and they enjoyed it! So did her parents and sister. Funny thing! So her parents are Catholic and her dad said the opening prayer at her baptism and asked God that all the Catholics in heaven will be praising Jackie and supporting her. How cute! :)

Then get this! Both Jackie and Mikayla bore their testimonies in sacrament. Mikayla came up with me, we made a deal, I went first and she went after. Cute little fact!  She read a scripture about the Sabbath day and said how mad she was that Chili's was open on Sunday and making their employees work and break the Sabbath day. Haha!
(ok sidenote! So in Ward Council a couple months ago we were talking about what we could do to bring more unity in the ward...and because of my FAVORITE ward in the world, Fairview, I brought up the idea of Cookie Night. Guess what!? They thought it was genius! So now that is now a new tradition in the ward! I LOVE FAIRVIEW! :) k going back)
But then before church started I was telling the Medfords that they had to come to cookie night so they didn't brake the Sabbath, and Mikayla decides to include that in her testimony. Haha! But then she said that it was a sad day cuz it was the last Sunday for me to be here....made me cry! The whole ward of course aww'd and looked at me...embarrassing!
But then Jackie got up and it was such a powerful testimony on families and it made her parents cry. What an amazing experience for them all. The Spirit was so strong!
I just love my mission. Everything about it! This ward, the people, everyone, its something that no one else that didn't go on a mission can comprehend.

I don't wana leave :(

But fun things now! So At the Medfords baptism, they forgot to pull the plug! Oh boy...so we thought we were gona have to go swimming but Sister Park, our dear Relief Society President, saved the day. Keep in mind she told us to not tell ANYONE about this...but I had to! Haha so she pulled her maxi dress up, with the G's, and was in there for about 10 minutes trying to get it with her feet! Good thing she's long :p haha but it was the funniest sight in the whole world! I almost died! I love her sooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!! She will be missed!

But this past week we went on exchanges. Guess what? I got to go to Southlake with SISTER EWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear, it was the funnest thing in my entire life!!!! Being back with her felt just like home. It was literally the greatest, especially since I was jipped and only had her for 5 weeks, it felt like old times. I don't think there was 5 minutes we spent not laughing unless we were in an appointment. I MISS HER!!!!!!!!!!!! It was also so nice to be with someone that was familiar and great at teaching. NOT SAYING THAT I DONT LOVE SISTER HAMBLIN! Cuz I totally do, and she's a great teacher and doing so well! But it was nice to just have everything flow perfectly. Again, you cant understand unless you have been on a mission!

4th of July was nothing too great, just a normal day...saw a firework before we went to bed, it was still light out though. How lame :p we had to water a pool for someone...service. Watering a pool. Great right?! Haha that sounds weird... :p

Anyways, im going to miss Sister Hamblin, My family ward, my everything else in Keller. But it's on to a new start again. #missionarylife
