Mission scripture

"Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever." Alma 26:12

Life in the great ArlingTON!

Hey Everyonee! :)

Dude, Cara! Wheres the baby?? AHH I still cant believe she's gona be one by the time I get back from my mission...she better stay puny! Praying for you! :)

This week was better, it rained :D the work is still slow but im getting use to it. No. Thats bad! I cant get use to no work :( in Denton we got almost 20 lessons a week and here we barely get 5...its so hard finding people to teach. It's hard to accept! But its going to change. That is for dang certain!

So I've come to know something. As missionaries we get this great power to remember things that we wouldnt usually remember. Like I had short term memory loss when it came to addresses and phone numbers, names and getting places. Now I'm pro at that! But now im forgetting people that I know that arent in my mission!! It's terrible! Dont worry family, and close friends, i havent forgotten your names...yet! ;) jk! kinda... but its cool to see that slowly but surely my brain is losing itself in the work. It's awesome to recognize that we do have power, that we were set apart by the Power of God to have that power to teach and all that jazz. Its amazing. Can I never be released, please??

This week we set TWO baptismal dates for our only TWO investigators...yaaaaaaaayyyyyy! Except we're gona be screwed if we cant find anyone else...but the Lord will provide a way. So I have no worries :) God knows what he's doing! So Marissa, she is getting baptized Oct 19th and was struggling with some things she had past done and didnt fully understand what the atonement really can do. But now she knows how good the Atonement is. It really is fantastic. Knowing that whatever you did, do, or anything your struggling with - depression, sorrow, ANYTHING - the Atonement covers it all! I love my Savior :)
Madeline is getting baptized Oct 26th and we are soooo excited!! She has finally felt that God was speaking to her, probably one of the best lessons I have ever been in. The Spirit was so strong. I just dont understand how people could feel that feeling and deny it. You cant, its impossible! It was as if God was literally standing infront of her telling her that He loved her.

Moments like these, i'm so glad I came on my mission and how excited I am to be able to teach it to my children. Although that will be a lonnggggggggggggggggg ways away! Haha

The relief society broadcast = amazingness!!! Im so grateful for the covenants I've made and how much they pressured the importance of keeping them. The gospel is so true! And Im sooooooo stoked about General Conference!!!! AH! :DDD Soo excited!!! We be listening to a prophet! Whooo whoo! :)

Sister Edwards is awesome! We have been enjoying life! We have a pet! (not really) It's a leaf. His name is YOLO. (we got 'leaf YOLO'd by the elders) YOLO has stayed on our car for almost 5 days now. That was a really random thought. haha

Have a good week! Take notes on GC. Enjoy life, smile at everyone. And Share the gospel! :)
