Mission scripture

"Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever." Alma 26:12

Wasssssssup my Zonies!

Heyyyyyyyyyyyy errbody!

So Im supppppppppppppppppppper dooooooooooper excited for Larissa!!!!!!!!!!! I'm like so excited! It's so awesome!!!! :D Has Curtis gotten his and everything too? And does anyone know if Bryce Layton got his as well?? Let me know!

This week has been really hard for me! I have been nothing but sore, headaches, and both tonsils are swollen so I can barely talk and I'm super sick! It's pretty awesome I guess..be jealous! But I'm fine (Indigo Montoya's voice) Nothing this sista cant handle! ;oP My comp is the best though. She made me some tea...aka Microwaved water with lemon and onguard doterra drops in it. Haha she gt creative ;) It made me laugh! Best. Tea. Ever...not really!

It has also been a veryyy interesting week...yes lets go with that! Well, for starters, get ready for some kicks and giggles cuz this is prettty funny! Not really. So this week, a guy tried massaging my shoulders....now I can say that I am officially one of those missionaries that jump and run when someone touches you haha how awkward is that?? You cant just go around touching missionaries..common sense ;p haha we also met this super normal guy....hahahaha...we asked this guy what he thought our purpose is on life. He said it was to play the drums..he started two weeks ago..haha! Anddd, it gets better! He said he didnt believe in God and we were talking to him about prayer and how he could find out if there is a God and, this whole time he was stroking his dog on the ground, he then responded looking at his dog, "I know theres a god when I look into her eyes" . . . . . . . uhhhh thats cute? how do you respond to that?! He was an unusual one you could say! And his feet...uhhgg dont get me started on that. I almost threw up! They were nasty!! Larissa, you should've seen them. Bluuahhh! <- thats the sound of me throwing up. :O### <- thats the face ;p

We got our first baptismal date this week!!!!!!!!!!!! :D July 20th hopefully and his name is Roberto! We are so excited for him! We just hope he stays on the right track. We're still working on him coming to church though, he goes to his family's house on the weekends. College student life. We also got our Investigator Nimo, idk if I mentioned him in last weeks letter but he came to church and had lots of questions. He also came to Friday Forum, its a Motivational Speaker and then lunch at the institute building. Both the church service and the speaker talked about missionary service and Nimo thought it was cool that our church focuses on that. Duhh thats what we Mormons be all about! We are hoping he gets baptized soon, he's soooo awesome! One cool experience we had this week, so we were getting ready to go home one night but decided to go to a couple more doors and this last door a guy opened it and said they were about to eat dinner but we could share something. We started off with a prayer, as usual, and then talked briefly about the plan of Salvation. He told us how ironic it was for us to stop by cuz his brother was just killed a few days ago and he and his girlfriend had been really suffering. It was sooo awesome to see the spirit work in them! This is the reason why I'm doing what I'm doing and not wanting to leave it, no matter how hard this is and how sick feeling I am. I love this work and I love seeing it change people's lives for the better. Everyone should go on a mission. Everyone! It's so important to see your life change and more importantly, seeing other's change because of this gospel. I am so glad that I'm here at this time. Best time of my life! :)

Forever and always, Sister Tilton :)
