HOLA everyone!
Welp!! I guess you'r just so excited to hear alllll about my new area. Well, lets put it this wayy...its nothing like Denton, that's for dang certain!!
So Dad, you asked a couple...actually a lot of questions haha well lets answer those! So my apartment is not near any bars and may look nice on the outside but pretty...not nice looking in the inside! Our bathroom's disgusting! We have moldy crap errrrrwhere!!! Its gross. I almost threw up. Ha! We are....in A CAR AREA!!! So we have a car! BUT I thought id never ever ever say this but I miss the walking everywhere! Although the car has a/c, I feel so lazy now and actually have to work out in the mornings. What the freak man! We share the area with another set of elders and we live outside of our area so we drive 15 minutes to get to our area.
So get this. Denton = Heaven for YSA missionaries. Lots of people everywhere, you can find a college student anywhere. Literallly, Heaven.
Arlington YSA area....its....not heaven. We have the area of just neighborhoods...its sooo sad! The elders have the side of UTA so they have apartments to go to.
Church is held in the institute building and should be a branch cuz theres only like 60 people buutttt theres over 500 less actives in our ward. Crazy right?? It's so sad! :( We try finding them for the most part but havent had a lot of success yet. That will change though. We only have 3 investigators, one we just found this week but her parents are totally against her coming to church. Its frustrating but I guess its life.
This has been the hardest week so far of my mission. Yep. I said it! I came from a place where we had so much success, it was crazy. Now it's about the opposite here. There's no YSA's to be found. So we are switching our finding efforts to the members. So now I will speak to all you! Be a missionary, share the gospel with everyone, it's not hard! And refer them to the missionaries. We love it :) And it's bringing souls unto Christ! And find some less actives and invite them to church or something. They need it just as much. Ohh how I love the gospel and the trials we face. They truly do make us stronger. I'm so greatful that I'm going through this right now. Although I dont like not having success, I'm going to learn something and cant wait!
Ohh wow! I havent even mentioned my super awesome compy! Sister Edwards!! :) Of course we had an awkward few days, its inevitable. I hate it. But we're finally getting past that and get along just great! It's so nice! She turned 20 the day after I got here so I felt bad that she had to spend it with someone she didnt know haha but she's awesome! This creeper from her last area sent her some flowers haha sooo funny! She doesnt like them! She's been out for 7 and a half months. All my comps have been from the same group that came out, besides Vave. Sister Taylor, Ewing, and Edwards all knew each other in the MTC. Crazy!
I freakin miss Denton sooo much!!! I miss everything about it and all the missionaries there too :/ but I'm loving it here so far as well. Oh and Grandon Ray is here in Arlington too. Not in my zone but we see each other often. Awesome! So cool.
Ok, im done :p Have a good week and AHHHHH CARA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CANT WAIT TO SEE MY NEW NIECE!!!! She needs to pop out already!! Get on that! :p
