Wow... it doesnt feel like Christmas is next week... ca-ray-Z!
Happy Birthday mommy!! :)
So thiss week...hmm... not much has gone on! We did get the Christmas tree you sent us and we loveeee it! But we didnt get it till Saturday so we've only had a couple days to enjoy it so far. Sister Edwards mom is sending us stockings too...which idk what were gona put in them :p we'll just wear them I guess ;) jk.
Ok although were like 1000 miles apart, I still feel like I'm getting the same things you are (family). This week...well and last week, I've had the worst headache/migrane in the whole world! My neck is out of place...i just know it! But no one believes me! I've been trying to get a Chiropracter (have no clue how to spell) to go to but they keep saying Im just sick and its the cause of an injury from me falling on the ice...which i didnt get hurt when i did...hahaha but they have given me prescriptions upon prescriptions. I just need my stupid neck popped!! Sister Edwards and I thought of an idea though, mom you should just fly here and not talk to me and just pop my neck really quick :p haha good idea? I thought so! I dont think i've ever had so many prescriptions before in my life...i feel like a pill poppin' missionary. The life of Sister Tilton guy!
One funny fact that i thought yall would enjoy (yes i said it..its faster :p) So on Sunday we were in Gospel Principals and we have a senior couple in our ward, Elder and Sister Winters, who are the cutest old couple may I add, and all of the sudden we hear a phone go off and its this hardcore rap song. One of the guys in there was like 'dude I thought that was sister Winters phone at first' and then we realize that she's struggling with her phone...it was hers. Hahaha! It was SOOO funny! Poor thing, she was so embarrassed but she had no clue how it got on there and she had no clue how to shut it off. Welp, there went the spirit! It was a day of remembrance, thats fo sho!
So...Madeline got baptized this week! It was amazing!! Although we werent able to go since she was baptized in Austin.. it was very weird not being able to prep for it and plan it, it was very stress free thats for sure but we kept contact with her when she went home. On wednesday, when she did get home, she told us that her parents decided to not support her in going to her baptism like they said they would and they even forbid her siblings to go. It was so sad :/ but she didnt let it get her down, she was still super excited. She told us that the baptism was fantastic and her confirmation blessing was amazing!! It was so cool! :) Wish we could've gone but glad she was able to experience this. Her and Marissa, our other recent convert are both gone for the holidays so we wont see them. Marissa's parents will not let her go to church up there so she cant wait to come back. It's just so cool! Who would've thought you'd miss church?! Its awesome!
We have a new girl were teaching and were not sure if we should call her an investigator cuz she was baptized 2 years ago, in Denton actually, and I have even heard about her when I was in Denton but she got baptized and kinda got cocky, is what she explained it as, and told her parents without praying about it and they flipped out and her dad went on the internet and printed out ever single anti mormon thing there is and made her read it and forced her to remove her records from the church. How sad! She had to do it though because she was dependant on them. Now, after two years, she has really felt the need to come back and she did it completely on her own and requested missionaries. Definitely a testimony builder. Its sad to see people fall away from the gospel or leave it but you never know when they're gona come back and how much stronger they will be. She is SOLID! She's the sweetest thing ever!
Seriously though, the Lord is so great! Every person we are teaching, the solid ones, has just fallen into our hands. God knows what he's doing :)
This transfer we are going to be working on the members. So this applys to all you! :) The visiting/home teaching is like 5%..its sad! And half of them are less actives to be taught. This week we had 4 less actives come to church. If we all reach out, not just missionaries, to members active and not active, the more the gospels going to work wonders. God cant do this work without us. Do your visiting teaching and home teaching! Go talk to your friends! Do missionary work!!! :)
So you should send me your christmas cards!
Merry Christmas,
Sister Tilton :)
