since I just talked to the family I feel like I have nothing to talk about anymore...BUT! Happy birthday Jashin! :)
Its so weird calling home and hearing the whole family....I feel like they're all grown up...Caleb sounds like a man now and has already passed me in height...great! Anna talks now?!! None of them sounds the same!!!!!!! Ahh!!! What is this coming to?! Y'all were suppose to stop growing!!
Its weird that the next time I talk to y'all, I'll be at the AZ airport...AND LARISSA WILL BE THERE TOO!!!!!!!!! :D I don't want to go home at all but I am excited to hear and see my bets friend and all my big nieces and nephews...siblings and parents...eh you can wait ;) haha jk!
So this past week...we only had 1 lesson to an investigator....ahh!! I hate slow weeks...
Ok! Totally forgot to tell you!!! So last week, we were driving home from district meeting and we drove out STL's so we were all chatting and going down the road, having a blast as always :p and here the speed limit is 35...im going 35 exactly! And we go through this intersection and Sister Alldredge was talking about something embarrassing...I cant even remember and when were going through the intersection but I see in my rearview mirror a semi drive by, right by me...didn't even think anything of it till Sister Call lets out this HUGE gasp and Sister Hamblin realizes what she saw as well...this semi ran his red light and missed us by a, literally, a foot. NOT EVEN KIDDING! We were in total shock and couldn't even talk. What if one of the sisters screamed when they saw it while we were going through the intersection?? I could've hit my breaks...and we'd be dead. No joke, it was the scariest thing in the world and we could definitely testify that God was watching over us and that was no accident we were talking and not watching or...we'd be dead. :p haha! How amazing is the Lord!! Coincidence? I think NOT! (guess that movie?) So highlight of the week: God watches his servants! :)
So the Medfords came to church on Sunday! Even Mike!!!! :D we were soooooo excited!!! And he was fellowshipped soo well! They stayed for all three hours and Mike was really nervous going to Priesthood but the guys totally make him feel comfortable and when it was time to pass out the little buntini cakes to the moms, he helped. The cutest thing ever!! I just love old men...dad's age >;) hehe! But really, he was smiling the whole time. I love missionary work!! He enjoyed it and said he'd be there next week too...so exciting!! We have an appointment with them tonight so were pretty stoked!
Our bishop got all of the girls, Kayla and Karina, and Mikayla, all quad sets of the scriptures with their names on it...it was soo sweet!! They all loved it!!!! We were talking to Karina about her reading and she said she hadn't been reading and she said it was cuz her phone taken away...."ok what about the new scriptures you just got??" "...theyre too pretty to read!" ....really??? What are we going to do with this girl?! Teens are little bums man! :p
