Oh hey!
So. This week was SUCH A BLAST! I loved being on my mission for Christmas!!! Weird right? Well....I have done two things that I probably will never do again. Spend Christmas Eve with a mexican family. And spend Christmas with a black family!!! IT WAS SO FUN!!!!! I love black people!!! :') I dont think I've ever laughed so much before, they are just too fun! Of course my family's great...but some blacks would be great in it too...this is why im adopting one ;) haha jk...but seriously.
So for Christmas we had a district meeting which was so fun! And we also did a gift exchange with the missionaries which we had fun with. The elders did a christmas rap and I video'd it so your gona have to wait for me to see it. It made me miss my rap mom and dad ;) haha jk, kinda.. but we had a supppa fun night! We went to a couple less actives and taught a couple lessons, we kept on getting pie and food and 'getting fat' dad ;) i wanted to go balemic! haha i was sooo full!! It felt like another thanksgiving! I missed my crepes though!!
So funny moment. We went to visit some less actives one night and we had a member come with us and we were leaving the house and there was a truck that has gone through some 'hard times,' totally beat up and Gwen, the member, accidentally hit it (herself) and she she started slow running and said 'sorry coppers, cant catch me!' and immediately tripped on a speed bump and totallllllllyyyyyyy biffed it! It was SOOOOO funny!!!! Then we realized that there was someone in the car just watching. Ohh man. I almost died! Ya, that was random! i know :p
So we've been meeting a lot with our investigator Jordan. Let me tell ya! Ok so i dont remember if I explained this last time but he use to be in a gang, was in jail, and now on parole, you look at him and can tell he was a scary dude. He is now bff's with this total white nerdy kid in the ward! Its soo funny to see them together! We stopped at Walmart one day for a bathroom break and they were shopping together! Whaaa?? It was a funny sight that's fo sho! But they have had similar pasts, which is kinda weird too! But he's been progressing soo much! He has stopped smoking and really turning his life around. But super sad for him cuz we have to go to the first presidency to get permission for him to be baptized and it takes a long time. But he's putting in the effort to wait!
Yesterday we actually were meeting with them when this less active, Billy Vincent, who we've been trying forevverrrr to meet (sister Edwards has been trying to get ahold of him for over 6 months) just comes over to the house we were at. What? yep. The spanish elders actually live right next to him and has been keeping tabs on him for us since we can never get ahold of him but ya. It's so sad! So Billy, Anthony and Marcus (who are both active now) had such a bad past, got into drugs and all that nasty crap, and Billy is the only one still doing it. It was so sad to see the difference...here this kid is my age and totally messed up. WHY DO PEOPLE DO DRUGS???! Idiots! When he left we started getting back into our lesson he interrupted and they stopped us telling us the spirit was gone. Haha even they could feel it. Im glad they see and feel when the Spirit's there and when its not. They are doing great! :)
I seriously love working in this area. It's definitely hard...but so worth it and I love all the people!! Make's me never wana leave!!!
Well I hope you all had a great Christmas and a suppa fun New Years! Im definitely not staying up till midnight. I like my sleep ;p
Have a good week! :)
