Ok so cool! Flags in and everywhere in the state of Texas! What a change to actually see our flag and not the texas flag! :) Memorial day is awesome! We had a ward party we went to, went swimming, and had a great time. jk on the swimming. And then had some pday fun playing volleyball. Don't worry, I think this is the millionth time I've been spiked in the face. Don't freak out when I come home and my nose is not looking normal :p
How is everyone??? I am soooo good!!! This week had a bit of scary moments but all turned out well. where to begin???!
Soo...biked everywhere this week! I guess you could say that I am getting to look like an elder...man these thigh's are looking fab ;) haha muscle here it comes!! Actually, I lost 2 pounds this week....so this biking is doing wonders!! :D yay! The enjoyment on a bike, however, is not so fun! And I look like a freak. See pics!
First off, something that made my week. We were teaching a lesson at someones house and when we were leaving their home teachers came and one of them said to sister Hamblin that she did a good job on her talk and then said "And sister Tilton! You are the bubbliest missionary ever! Always smiling, I can tell that you love your mission!" ...i'm so glad that people can see it! It makes the world of a difference when you smile and are happy. Missionaries, or people in general that don't smile, how depressing is their life! I'm glad others ccan see that I love my mission! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! :)
So transfer calls was Monday. And our darn ZLs pulled a good one on us. They told sister Hamblin that she was being transferred. She was sitting on the ground shaking. I thought she was going to die. Then here I am " WHAT??? NOT ANOTHER COMP!!!!!" And then they told us that our car was being taken away...btw's president Ames is going to start doing that to areas that don't really need a car...so here I have no car now?!?? NOT ANOTHER SUMMER!!! But its all good, they were joking. It was a good thing too...I almost killed them! :p
Sister Hamblin and I have another/last transfer! Shes half way done with training. So cool! :)
So random fact. This morning we went bike riding down this trail that we got permission to take since it wasn't in our area...wow...texas does have so beautiful sites... it had a creek and trees everywhere! I felt like I was in the mountains again. AND it was cloudy =perfect day! And then...I biff it on my bike! Yep. What a lovely thing...lucky I didn't break anything, but mud was on this sister that's for sure! Gotta love missionary life :)
So we taught the Medfords this week and Mike is having such a hard time with tea and coffee. But the Lord is answering his prayers. He asked God to give him no desire to drink it.. then he had it the next morning and it tasted weird to him. so he made another batch.. and it was weird to him. GOD IS TALKING TO HIM!!! He can see!! What an awesome thing that it :) But now he's having a hard time understanding priesthood authority in baptism....one thing after another!
We had a member that we've been teaching the youth the lessons and our last lesson we had with them was last Tuesday and we gave them both book of Mormons to personalize and challenged them to pray for someone to give it to them. Thursday the mom text us and said that they had an experience where a boy came up and started asking them questions about the church, they both were able to answer questions and they were able to give him the book of Mormon. She then said this "Savannah says thank you for putting them up to the challenge, it really does work!" WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. Have you invited the missionaries to come teach the lessons to you and the fam. If not, thank goodness for repentance. Lets get this done! Shame on you if you think you don't need them. Everyone needs this!
2. How is studying Preach my Gospel? We have been told in General Conference that we need to be studying it ALWAYS!!!!!!!! I have to study it Every day for an hour, yall do too! If you haven't, go pick it up and get started.
And now i'm going to add a 3. Lets look for every opportunity to share the gospel. EVERYONE NEEDS THIS! THis is the Lords work, and He has given it to us to do. He needs YOU! All of us! Lets get this party started!! :)
