This week has been amazing!!!! :)
LOTS of fun!!
So we had zone conference this week with President Ames and my good gosh. I just never want to leave my mission, never want to be released as a missionary, never wana do anything but TEACH!!
#1 thing I'm grateful for: The Holy Ghost.
NO comparison to the way it makes you feel. I just lovee it! The spirit was so strong i couldn't retain my excitement. And although we sat for literally 8 hours at zone conference on hard uncomfortable chairs...totally worth every bit of it. I seriously have the best mission president anyone could ever have. No joke. It's true. He is so amazing! Ok, it was all about planning effectively and working with members. Whats new?! MEMBERS ARE SO IMPORTANT!!!! It's insane. We have such devine power as members and yes, even though we are set apart to teach, it is your job as members to find and retain, and you can do it!! Everyone left that meeting a new missionary. Can I say 'I never want to leave' again? Said it :) haha jk. I'd like to come home for a bit and see the Gilbert Temple though, so not fair! Still jealous!
So the next day we had anther zone training meeting and man, my mind was about to be blown! I feel like my brain cant handle any more of it yet I know I have so much more way to go!
So we started our lessons with the members. Idk if I told y'all this yet but we got the Bishopric here to jump on this and Bishop has told the members they are required to take the missionary lessons. Pchhhyaaaaa!!! So stoked about it! My Bishop has got to be the funniest...I dont think I've ever met one like him. He is reading 'the life on an every day missionary' which I want so badly to read, and he is on fire! He is all about that missionary work! It's great! So we were able to teach some members this week and man....have we got some texas talkers!! Our first one was 2 hours long.... -_- I wish I could make a more exhausting looking face...just picture me doing it...but it was sooooooo lonnngggggg!!! So the first few lessons we've given to members were a total mess. But we really tried harder in planning and what do you know, they were spirit led. What a difference!! They went so well and a few even got emotional for the members. So cool! I love working with members!! :)
Ok we taught one of our investigators this week, George, and he brought up the fact that he needs to be baptized! What?? NO wayy!!! But he said that'd take awhile cuz he has to 'change' alot...yep...and so we taught more of the doctrine behind baptism and he committed to it! We set a date with him forMarch 22, so were hoping he reaches it!
Oh and no big deal, he commented on my voice...said he liked my voice...then told me it was squeeky. Oh dont worry guys, I just have a squeeky voice. Haha story of my life..
I love my comp! Sister Fielding is on a role! She is seriously hilarious and is never beaten down it feels like. Here I thought I was a happy person. Nope...not compared to this girl! Funny story about her. She saw me laying down and drinking my water bottle so she decided to try as well. Epically failed and poured it all on her face and about drowned her. I thought I was going to DIE!!!! Words cant even describe it...I think my laugh sounded like a dying donkey I was laughing so hard. Never a Dull Moment!!
Everything else was super great this week, nothing too big and fancy but I love it!
Hope you all have a great week! :) Love you!
Sister Tilton
