Mission scripture

"Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever." Alma 26:12

I love my mission :)

Ok for some reason this week has really been the greatest. I dont even know why cuz when I look at it....it kinda sucked...but it was so good too!

First, Jazzy you need to email me cuz I need to know how Spain is going for ya!

Second, I just love my mission!! It has so many hard times and is so stressful but it is so life changing and you learn things you'd never be able to feel unless you went on a mission.

This week we have been so  short on miles. We are only allowed to go so many a month and had barely any... It's great to know that when we're obedient, the Lord really does bless us in the times we need it. We had some appointments to go to but had no miles whatsoever! But our appointments ended up cancelling on us and when we got dropped off at our institute building from dinner with a member, some of the guys from the ward came for institute that hadnt started yet. So they made us do it for them AND our investigator Jordan came as well. It ended up being a really good night and we discussed patience which was really inspired because it was something that Jordan really needed to hear.

Jordan, the next day, got put back in jail :( Sad moment since he was progressing so well but his court date came and got put back but the good thing is that it'll be no more than 30 days which is good. But still. No one wants to go there and it was sad seeing him gone and not at church. The ward even misses him. One of the members took a Book of Mormon to him as well as a note from us. We CAN NOT wait for him to get out.

It's hard seeing people we've been working with for so long choose to not accept God and Jesus Christ and live the gospel. If only they knew how much joy it could bring to their life and how much happier they could be. I have come to know that the Lord really does love each and every one of his children. But it doesnt mean He doesn't get disappointed. I cant even imagine what God feels about each of His children when we willfully mess up. But yet He still loves us no matter what. I never want to be a disappointment to Him. And even though we mess up, I am so grateful for the atonement. :)

This ward is great, and it's going to get even better! We are trying to work with the members now with their desires to fulfill what our dear Prophet has asked of them - to be a missionary :) So help us out now, go meet with missionaries and ask for their help in helping you fulfill this. God needs all the help He can get. :) 'Lets get down to business to defeat [satan]' (Mulan) This is our motto!!! Lets do this!! :D

Ok. I just love being called a polygamist...biggest complement ever. Not. So we went out to eat and our waitress came up and asked how many daddys we had...then laughed...then corrected herself and asked how many mommys we had...then laughed...then realized we werent laughing.. Haha thats was the funny part! We of course corrected her. But then we were at Target and we were in the makeup section and these two ladies whispered 'look, those are polygamists'... SAY WHATT??? You have GOT to be kidding me! It's a good thing I didnt hear it and Sister Edwards did or else I would've really played with them. I wanted to so badly go up to them and tell them that our husband was looking for a 3rd and 4th wife and see if they'd be interested...but i didnt. Probably a good thing I didnt haha but Sister Edwards didnt feel like saying anything. We dont even look like polygamists!! People....gotta love them children of God.

Speaking of children of God, even though you go on a mission, doesnt always mean you have your head screwed on tight..an elder in our zone decided that he was getting too white so he bought some spray tan and had his color blind greenie to spray him...he literally looked like an umpa loompa. If he was wearing orange he would've blended in. It was SO bad. hahaha and he happened to do this the same week we had interviews with our mission president. Smart person.

AND I FORGOT!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAIDA LYNN!!! :D

Have a good week! :)
