Mission scripture

"Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever." Alma 26:12

Wasssuppss!!!!!

Hey Everyone!!

Soooo...I feel like there's so much to write about, I dont know where to start!!

First of all Jaida, im so proud of your! You make me a proud auntie :) and you need to write my back little turd! And Cara has three more weeks??? AHH!!!! I'm gona miss my new niece :( But she'll still love me...just like the rest of them ;) just hopefully none of them are forgetting me, that'd be oober depressing!

So I got a new companion. Tadaaaa! Monday I was companionless and stayed with some the sister in my zone for a bit but one of the girls in my ward, Beth, was my companion for a bit for some appointments and for my baptism on Monday night. She's super awesome! She's going back to BYU so that's sad :( But I stayed at the sister's monday night after the baptism and we had district meeting then my new comp came, Sister Ewing(U-ing) and funny story, no Sister Taylor didn't come back which I was hoping for :( but Sister Taylor was in a trio and Sister Ewing was in that trio. So they were comps for 5 days. So Sister Taylor told her everything about Denton YSA. She's awesome too! She's hard working and I'm super glad! It's nice to be working again! :) Sister Ewing is just astounded of all the crazy things here and actually teaching YSA. She says its wayyyyyyyyyyyy different and harder so I kinda never want to leave here...haha welll that is, i'm not attached to Texas itself but I dont want to leave the this area on my mish! Arizona is still my favorite :)
So the baptism Monday = AMAZING!!!! Emily was the cutest AND the first baptism I could actually hug!!! Yay! It was great though, very spiritual and she cried and loved it and it was awesome! She's definitely changed! :) It was weird though cuz I didnt have a comp, besides Beth but she wasn't a legit one so I took a single missionary picture with Emily. It was weird! But I felt special! :p
Answering your questions Dad - theres another set of sisters and Hermanas in our zone and then 5 sets of elders, 2 are spanish. And then....here's what you all been waiting for...I finally rode my bike....in the drive way haha and I ripped my skirt. Let's just say I'm not looking forward to riding it at all with a skirt and a helmet! But I did ride it, that counts!
We had another baptism planned this weekend for Mariah but her mom blew up on her and told her she'd disown her kick her out and not pay for her college. Absolutely depressing. We were so sad and Mariah was devastated. She want's to get baptized so bad! But she's going off to college in NY so we have already contacted the missionaries there and the bishop and the institute there so she's be helped a lot out there. That's what's so great about the church, we're EVERYWHERE!!! :) The church is true. True story! But we are so sad that her mom is like this. I cant imagine someone disowning their child just because they're trying to follow Jesus Christ. Satin you little DEVIL!!!!!!!! >:/ I dont like him!
Good news though! Every preacher in Denton tells their congregation about us so were super dooper popular. We feel speacial ;) ohhhh how they long to be like us...bless there little hearts! ;)
We met this AWESOME girl, she's from England and she's black so she's so cute and has this amazing accent..and she's agnostic! And she's solid!! We had this great lesson on the Plan of Salvation and the Atonement. Best. Lesson. Ever! She was in tears. I NEVER WANT TO LEAVE!!!! It's so amazing seeing the spirit touch these peoples lives! AH! And, she committed to baptism. AWESOME!!! We're soooo happy!!!
I forgot to telll youuuuuuuuu!!!! So you'll be proud of me...and Brandon and Kody, idk. Haha but I can now eat onions...cooked or not. Ya. AMAZING RIGHT??? You should be super proud!! These freakin texans put onions in everytthing man! It's terrible!! But I eat them now and it's whatevvvss! Except I wont ever and I mean EVER be able to eat fish or red meat and like it! And mushrooms! They're still grosss haha So that's my great food story! Haha :p
Well love you all much!! And I just have to say that my elders in my zone arent gay..I promise!! I just had to share ;) hehe (pics)
